The Nostalgic Side of Technology and the Future


There was a time when technology had a place.

 

The television lived in the living room. The computer sat on a desk. The telephone was attached to a wall. Your music player lived in your pocket, and your camera was something you remembered to bring with you.

Then came the smartphone.

When technology felt physical

Think about using a cassette tape.

You didn't simply press a button and instantly get any song ever recorded. You had to find the tape, put it into the player, press play, and sometimes fast-forward while trying to guess where the next song began.
